Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Will these valves fit my 10mm microbore pipework?
A: Yes. These valves are supplied with a pair of 15mm × 10mm compression reducers, allowing seamless connection to 10mm microbore copper or compatible plastic pipework. The valves themselves feature standard 15mm compression inlets, ensuring straightforward installation.

---

Q: When should I choose angled radiator valves instead of straight ones?
A: Angled valves are ideal where pipework emerges from the wall and requires a 90° turn into the radiator or towel rail connection. If your pipework rises from the floor or is already aligned with the valve inlet, straight valves are typically the most suitable choice.

---

Q: Are these valves compatible with all black towel rails?
A: These valves are compatible with the vast majority of towel rails and radiators fitted with a standard 1/2" BSP connection, the recognised UK and European standard. Finished in a contemporary matt black, they are designed to coordinate effortlessly with modern bathroom heating designs.

---

Q: Are these thermostatic (TRVs) or manual radiator valves?
A: These are high-quality manual radiator valves (non-thermostatic). Designed for simplicity and reliability, they allow precise manual control of water flow to your towel rail—ideal for bathrooms where consistent heat output and a clean, minimalist look are preferred.

---

Q: Can I use these valves with plastic (PEX or polybutylene) pipework?
A: Yes, these valves are suitable for use with copper and compatible 10mm plastic pipe systems, including PEX and polybutylene, when used with the correct pipe support inserts. These inserts are essential to ensure a secure compression seal and long-lasting, leak-free performance. Always confirm compatibility with your specific pipe system prior to installation.
